      Ernest Hemingway was an American Author who had a strong influence on 20th Century fiction. He published seven novels, six short story collections, and two non-fiction works, his books are considered classics in American literature. The closest thing to a definitive biography is by Michael S. Reynolds, but it is spread across five separate volumes devoted to different periods of Hemingway’s life. That sounds daunting, but I would recommend picking a particular period that int.

    Ernest Hemingway created memorable characters in his short stories and novels by drawing on real people—parents, friends, and fellow writers, among others.
